Practical, nurse-led support that joins the dots
InKindRa provides independent, Registered Nurse-led guidance and practical support for adults, families and carers across the UK. Our Registered Nurse-led team, with Clinical Navigators and trained Navigators nationwide, help families understand what is happening, prepare for conversations and coordinate next steps with local NHS, private, social care and community services.
Clarity Session
When multiple teams are involved, it can be hard to keep track of who is responsible for what. We help you understand what is happening and agree clear next steps across health, social care, welfare and practical support.
- Clarifying who is involved in your care and what they are responsible for
- Helping you prepare questions, notes and key information for appointments
- Supporting you to understand information, options and next steps
- Liaising with teams (with your consent) to clarify plans and follow-up
Hospital discharge & coming-home support
Transitions between care settings can be overwhelming - whether planned or unexpected. We manage the practical side to help make the process safer and less stressful.
- Liaising with teams about discharge plans, dates and conditions for going home
- Checking practical arrangements at home (equipment, deliveries, support)
- Helping you think through equipment needs or home adaptations, and signposting to appropriate NHS, local authority or private services
- Helping families stay informed and aligned about what is happening
- Identifying and flagging potential gaps to the appropriate teams
NHS, private and insured care coordination
Many people now move between NHS care, private consultations, diagnostics, insured treatment, self-funded support and community services. When information does not follow the person, families can be left chasing letters, appointments, rehab, therapy, equipment or follow-up plans. InKindRa helps bring the picture together.
- Helping organise information when care has moved across NHS, private, insured or self-funded settings
- Clarifying who is responsible for follow-up, rehabilitation, therapy or equipment when plans are incomplete or unclear
- With your consent, contacting your insurer on your behalf - for example, to seek authorisation for an extended length of stay or additional care - and liaising with the relevant hospital or provider to ensure the right information is in place
- Preparing questions and coordinating communication with relevant services - including private hospitals, NHS teams and community providers - with your consent
- Helping when diagnostics, treatment and follow-up have happened in different settings and information has not transferred clearly
- Community pharmacies often hold important information about medicines, adherence and supply that may not be visible across the wider pathway - with consent, we can help include them in the conversation where this supports safer, more joined-up planning
Planning Ahead Conversation
When things are starting to change - but before they become urgent. We help individuals and families clarify what matters, identify practical pressure points and plan sensible next steps.
- Helping someone express what matters most to them, in their own words
- Supporting families to understand each other's priorities and reduce uncertainty
- Identifying practical pressure points before they become crises
- Preparing questions for a GP, consultant, solicitor or social worker
- Coordinating conversations between family, carers and services
- Connecting families to the right support at the right time
Appointment Preparation & Accompaniment
Important appointments can be overwhelming. We ensure you go in prepared and leave with a clear understanding of what was said.
- Organising diaries and appointment schedules
- Preparing paperwork, letters, summaries and medication information
- Agreeing what you want to ask, say or check in each appointment
- Attending key appointments with you, where appropriate and agreed
Carer Coaching & Practical Support
Caring for a loved one is exhausting. We provide space, guidance, and administrative help so you can focus on being family.
- Coaching sessions to help you feel clearer and more confident in your caring role
- Help with forms, admin, signposting and follow-up tasks
- Connecting you with local community and voluntary sector support
- Helping you plan ahead for key points in the care journey
Welfare, benefits and practical forms support
We can help families identify where benefits, concessions or practical support may be relevant, and support with forms where health, care or practical information is needed. We do not make eligibility decisions or provide specialist welfare, legal or financial advice.
- Helping you identify where benefits, concessions or practical support routes may be relevant to your situation
- Helping you gather health, care or practical information to support a form or application - with your consent
- Sitting with you to complete forms using information you have already shared, and helping you understand what to include
- Signposting to appropriate national or local advice services, including benefits calculators and welfare rights organisations
- Helping you make sense of letters or next steps after a form has been submitted
Clarity on boundaries
What we do
- Offer calm, informed navigation and practical support
- Help you prepare for and follow up from appointments
- Coordinate agreed tasks and communication
- Support carers emotionally and practically within our scope
What we don't do
- Provide personal care or hands-on nursing
- Replace NHS, social care or emergency services
- Make clinical decisions or alter prescribed treatment plans
- Act outside safeguarding, confidentiality or legal requirements
- Prescribe, supply, fit or install equipment, or carry out home adaptations
Focused support, delivered safely
Our current scope of practice is deliberately focused to ensure safe, high-quality delivery. We provide Registered Nurse-led guidance, practical support and coordination, working alongside NHS/private clinicians and CQC-registered providers where treatment or personal care is needed.
We keep our service model under review and would only expand into regulated care or treatment services with the appropriate registration, governance and safeguards in place. Early conversations are welcome to explore fit.
